The portable loading ramps are ideal for use as lightweight plant ramps for loading mini diggers, excavators, ride on mowers and more. PAIR of aluminium loading ramps, each ramp is 2000mm x 300mm x 65mm x 11kg. 2700kg capacity across the pair (wheelbase 1500mm), 2660kg capacity (wheelbase 1250mm), 2000kg capacity (wheelbase 1000mm). The default connection is the rest on connection with a pre-drilled hole and pin which is a popular choice for flatbed vehicles and tipper trucks. Foot of the alloy ramp is cut for the load height to ensure smooth entry onto the ramp. Designed for loading tracked plant machinery and vehicles including diggers, tractors, excavators and ride-on mowers.

Quotes for bespoke ramps can be supplied on request. Not suitable for solid wheels found on road surfacing machines. To identify which ramp you require we suggest checking your load height, this is the vertical height from the ground to where the ramp will rest. For example, if you are loading into a trailer it is the vertical height from the ground to where the ramp will rest on the trailer, step or kerb. The maximum load height for our loading ramps is.

Based on EU guidelines which recommend that loading ramps do not exceed a gradient greater than 30% or 1:3.3. Essentially the load height x 3.3, gives you the recommended ramp length you required for loading. Please also check the minimum load height stated is suitable for your requirements.

The foot of the ramp is angled for the stated load height, if you exceed or go below the recommended load heights the ramp will not sit flush on the ground. Consider what you are loading. Please note items with low clearance, such as pallet trucks, scissor lifts, cars and forklifts will need a smoother gradient. Consider the weight you are loading. Please consider the weight of the item or vehicle and any additional weight such as petrol or the driver.

Consider where you are loading onto. Our aluminium loading ramps ramps are provided with a rest-on connection. Rest-on connections are suitable for flat surfaces, flat-bed vehicles, tipper trucks and similar. The connection includes a pre-drilled hole to allow the ramp to be secured during loading. If you have a beaver tail trailer generally you will require an alternative connection type such as a hook connection.

For loading ramps, we note the minimum track width, this is the narrowest tyre/track of the vehicle which can be on the surface of the ramp. Please also check the maximum track width where stated. We also often note the capacity per wheelbase as this impacts weight distribution and therefore can impact the capacity the ramp can take.

To check your wheelbase look at the vehicle from the side view, the distance between the front wheel and rear wheel (rim centre) is your wheelbase. Please note our aluminium loading ramps are not suitable for steel-tracked machinery. Please note we do not recommend loading with a winch on the ramps as this reduces the capacity the ramp can take.
